The Mighty Power of Prayer

Testimony is knowing the mighty power of prayer is real by the witness of the Holy Ghost, but we are converted when by faith we obey its applications. It is not enough to simply believe that prayer is real, because belief is only the mental assent to the validity of its related principles, but without the moral element of responsibility that we call faith. We believe "that there is one God," and by so doing, we do well. But "the devils also believe and tremble." (James 2:19).Faith in prayer is dead, or it is of no value, if it has not been accompanied by the performance required of disciples of Jesus Christ. I have written these daily devotionals in the hope that they will provide encouragement during our journey to the veil, where we will kneel at the feet of the Savior, who will call us by name, saying, "Well done thou good andfaithful servant. Thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things. Enter thou into the joy of thy lord." (Matthew 25:21).
