The Atonement of Jesus Christ

Our testimony of the Atonement comes by the power of the Spirit, but we are converted when by faith we obey every element that relates to its doctrine. It is not enough to simply believein it, because belief is only the mental assent to the reality of redemption in Christ, but without the moral element of responsibility that is driven by faith.We believe "that there is one God," and by doing so, we do well. But "the devils also believe, and tremble." (James 2:19). Faith in the Atonement is dead, or is of no substance, if it isn't accompanied by our good works. I have written these devotionals that relate to the Atonement of Jesus Christ hoping that they will provide us with encouragement during our journey to the veil, where we will kneel at the feet of Savior, Who will call us by name, saying: "Well done, thou good and faithful servant. Thou hast been faithful over a few things. I will make thee ruler over many things. Enter thou into the joy of thy Lord." (Matthew 25:21).
