Riley Sloane likes control.

As a key grip on a location shoot in Dalton, he trusts clean setups, clear plans, and his own ability to keep everything from falling apart. What he does not trust is unasked-for input from a local outdoor guide who walks onto his set, calmly questions his decisions, and somehow keeps being right.

Jay Kirby knows this land better than any call sheet ever could. He is steady, practical, and completely unimpressed by Riley's sharp edges. When weather shifts, gear fails, and a river shoot turns unpredictable, Jay becomes the one variable Riley cannot ignore-and the one person who sees straight through the competence Riley hides behind.

What starts as friction turns into reluctant respect, then into something far more dangerous: trust.
