Configuration Management Dashboard for Modern DevOps Systems

This book presents the design and implementation of a Configuration Management Dashboard (CMD), a modern web-based system developed to support source code governance, change tracking, and DevOps integration in large-scale software engineering environments. The system replaces legacy plugin-based applications with a scalable, cross-platform solution built using Angular, ASP.NET Web API, Entity Framework, and SQL Server. It provides core functionalities including changelist visualization, bug approval workflows, trial submission validation, and secure administrative controls. The architecture follows a three-tier model with a RESTful API, enabling seamless integration with CI/CD pipelines and monitoring systems. Experimental results demonstrate a reduction in page load time by over 90 percent and consistent API response times under high concurrency. The system improves accessibility, performance, and maintainability while aligning with modern DevOps practices. This work is valuable for students, researchers, and professionals in software engineering, configuration management, and enterprise system design.
