However, the government remains solely responsible for overseeing the implementation of this transformation through various committees and studies. In the event of failure, popular protests may erupt. The decision to privatize public enterprises should not be taken lightly. It requires careful planning and precautions on the part of both the government and the buyers. Otherwise, the intention to use privatization to accelerate development could lead to catastrophic results.
