Artikelbeschreibung

The monograph presents the results of a comprehensive study focused on the application of digital technologies for avalanche hazard assessment in the East Kazakhstan Region. It integrates satellite remote sensing, LiDAR and UAV surveys, high-resolution digital elevation models, geomorphometric analysis, and physics-based avalanche runout modelling. A multifactor predictive model for avalanche hazard mapping was developed on the Google Earth Engine platform, incorporating meteorological thresholds, terrain parameters, snowpack characteristics, vegetation cover, and wind conditions. The study includes the creation of 3D digital twins of avalanche catchment areas, refinement of hazard zones using RAMMS modelling, and recommendations for the placement of monitoring sensors. The conclusions and recommendations can be made by the Department of Emergency Situations and its subordinate units. The monograph has practical value for researchers and students involved in the assessment of natural hazards and geospatial analysis. The research was carried out within the framework of the PTF BR21882022.
