Improving Guava Yield and Quality with Nano Nutrition

The present study entitled "Assessment of nano nitrogen and chelated zinc foliar spray on growth, yield and quality of guava (Psidium guajava L.)" was conducted during 2024-25 at the Horticultural Research Farm, Department of Horticulture, School of Agricultural Sciences, Career Point University, Kota, Rajasthan. The experiment aimed to evaluate the effect of foliar application of nano nitrogen and chelated zinc on growth, yield and quality of guava cv. Lucknow-49. The trial was laid out in a Factorial Randomized Block Design with sixteen treatment combinations and three replications. Four levels of nano nitrogen (0, 2, 4 and 6 ml per litre) and four levels of chelated zinc (0, 0.2, 0.4 and 0.6%) were applied through foliar spray at three stages: before flowering, at full bloom and at fruit set. Observations were recorded on growth parameters, yield attributes and fruit quality traits such as TSS, acidity, ascorbic acid and sugars. The results indicated that the combined application of nano nitrogen 6 ml/litre with chelated zinc 0.6% (N3Z3) produced the best performance in terms of plant growth, fruit yield and fruit quality of guava.
