King George County, Virginia was formed from Richmond County in 1721. Abstracts from these land records, the earliest in the county, have been taken from a microfilm copy of Deed Book No. 4 (1752-1765) and Deed Book No. 5 (1765-1783). This volume includes detailed abstracts of these deed books, which cover deeds, deeds of release, deeds of lease, deeds of mortgage, deeds of sale, deeds of gift, bonds, indentures, and more. An index to full-names and places adds to the value of this work.
