Moses, sensing the magnitude of the challenges ahead, knew this and invited Hobab to come with him on the exodus from Egypt. Hobab knew the way and was accustomed to the wilderness. Mentorship is about having a helper in our journey in life, love and leadership. To the mentor, it is an attempt to pass down the experience, wisdom and legacy to the next generation.
