Originally published by the American Library Association between 1972 and 1986, these four books list the public land grants made by the federal government and the state of Virginia to settlers in the U.S. territories between 1788 and 1835. These books provide genealogists with important tools for tracing the westward movement of families in the largely undocumented migration into the Old Northwest Territory.
