Plants & Growth Words

A seed is only the beginning. What comes next?Plants & Growth Words invites children ages 3 and up to follow roots, shoots, leaves, flowers, fruit and new seeds. Short explanations, photographs and clearly identified learning models turn early plant science into things children can point to, talk about and explore.A seven-stage bean photograph makes germination visible. Children find the first root, shoot and open leaves, then record changes in their own bean on two different days. Shared activities invite families and teachers to examine leaves, watch buds, compare seeds and care for a growing plant. This 76-page book introduces 16 key words, including germinate, pollen, seed dispersal, life cycle and observe. Picture-based questions, drawing spaces and a glossary support repeated reading and conversation.Use it for preschool science, kindergarten plant units, homeschool nature study or a family growing project. Designed for shared reading and adult-supported exploration, it helps children connect new vocabulary with changes they can see.
