'We're getting a new baby' is the story of a young child awaiting the arrival of a new baby/sibling. The child asks a variety of questions about the new baby as they try to understand what a new baby means for them and their family and how things might be different once the baby is born. At first they are unsure about the new baby but as the story evolves, they begin to accept their new role as big brother/sister and begin to feel excited about the baby's impending arrival.
