What would it take for a reconstructed social science to play the same foundational role for social and organizational engineering that physics plays in the engineering of useful artifacts? This book is a ledger of an inferentially connected chain of thoughts that connects machine learning, brain architecture and function, and rational choice theory and harnesses them to a new way of knowing and doing that allows designers of human and social artifacts - the machines that build the machines - to see, think, act and learn in real time on foundations that are grounded in neurophysiology and informed by an information-theoretic view of the human perception-action-learning loop. It also opens a new field of inquiry into the enhancement of brain-bound intelligence.
