Alba, the narrator of this story, is part of a generation trying to step on solid ground in a city that is leaking. The generation is the one that is around thirty and leaves youth behind between precarious jobs and inert guilt for being part of the first world, between emerging feminism and misrepresented relationships, driven by the need to fight with the same forces against the elements and against itself: a contradictory reality, only suitable for tightrope walkers. The city is this contemporary Barcelona which, in its claim to modernity, ends up becoming the definitive antagonist, and where human communication is increasingly uncertain and ghostly.
