In this book, after the respective theoretical framework, empirical research is presented on the professionals who edit the information broadcast by Portuguese public television (Rádio e Televisão de Portugal [RTP]) on video. In mainland Portugal, the information broadcast by RTP is usually edited on video by image editors based at RTP-Lisbon and RTP-Porto, and by image reporters assigned to the various regional branches of RTP. It should be noted that this research involved the entire population, i.e. all image editors at RTP-Lisbon and RTP-Porto, as well as all image reporters from RTP's regional offices.
